How To Get Better Results

One of the main questions I get asked, when I explain what I do for a living, is ‘How do I lose weight’? In truth, I never quite know what to say. There are so many different things which can separate the good weight management program from the bad, it’s difficult to seize on a simple response and know I’m imparting good advice. So, for the benefit of anyone out there looking for five sure-fire ways to manage your weight and get in to a great habit for ongoing success, here are my top tips…

Eat

OK, this may sound like a stupid recommendation, but have you any idea how many people I know, who have failed at managing their weight – because they actually don’t eat? Eating regularly is your best chance of weight management, and so you have to put more care and attention into regular eating so that your metabolism gets a kick start. People’s diets fail more often than not simply because they think they’re not allowed to eat.  Diet does not mean Die.

Your body is like one big furness, designed to burn energy.  It is a very clever machine.  Did you know one apple can keep you charged for 30 minutes?  Neglecting to eat and look after your nutrition is going to make you fat.  By not eating, you are telling your body that you are in starvation mode, so the body clicks over to a very clever mechanism designed for droughts.  It starts to burn muscle, which makes you feel weak (because you are becoming weaker) and slows your metabolism down so that your body can store for survival.  Eating works.  Consume five to six small meals every day, eating at least 10 – 20 different natural colours, and love your body to make it flourish.

Eat with others

You may have nailed your eating plan, and you could be a great cook, gobbling up yummy meals and looking after your body, but did you know that eating with other people is extremely effective for body fat loss? People who eat healthy meals with others brings about change, generating more body fat loss and supporting their relationship to food even more positively.  Plus, if you’re not a very good cook, you can share the making of a healthy meal with some one else who is.

So, for every three to four meals you eat on your own, why not eat one meal with another?  This is a simple, easy and highly effective way of getting people to support your goals, and keeping you focussed.  And in return, you are experiencing success and positive results in many other areas of your life.

Be responsible

Responsibility is a key trait for any successful weight management plan.  As you take responsibility for your results and outcomes, you are able to make small changes in what ever area you need to give attention to.  It may mean that you need to seek advice or support, or to just continue on your chosen path. The success comes from spending a little time each day reading your goals, living your dreams and committing to your ultimate healthy body by action-ing supportive changes. Take responsibility, having faith and stay committed to your goal, and you will always be in a better position to enjoy, enhance, and succeed a healthy lifestyle.

Be proactive

Nothing kills a dream off more quickly than allowing it to fade, preventing yourself from living out your desires and enjoying the things that only health allows you to participate in. It’s important to stay ahead of your old tricks and justifications, understanding the potential “carrots” that may take you of course in a society that supports laziness and bad eating habits.  Before these “threats” emerge be clear what it is you are trying to achieve, and provide yourself with all the proactive tools, to ensure you always stay ahead of your old habbits and succeed.

Set a routine

Finally, having a great routine will enhance the way you achieve your results, forever. Set apart a time to clear out your fridge and pantry of any food that is junky, and restock it with healthy, nutrient dense food.  Have a strong and inflexible schedule based upon what you need to achieve each day, and when you want to achieve it by. This firms up your strategy and keeps you on track to live your healthy life to the max!
